Yesterday the death of a young movie actor was on the front pages of all the world's newspapers. The same day, burried in the rubble of headlines, AP reported that 45,000 people die every month in Congo.

So we could conclude that, according to the media, the passing of one young man is more significant than that of 45,000 souls. 

Is there any way to avoid this conclusion?  Why? How?
