GlobalOneness

I direct a web based film project called the Global Oneness Project, a project that invites you to re-imagine your relationship with the world. This project is exploring how the radically simple notion of interconnectedness can be lived in our increasingly complex world. We're traveling the world interviewing people and highlighting organizations that show the diverse ways oneness is expressed in the fields of sustainability, conflict resolution, spirituality, art, agriculture, economics, indigenous culture, and social justice. Our web site features a growing library of short films and interviews from our journey. Created to be shared widely, these films are a free resource to inspire new connections and conversations.

In this modern age where most of us get our food at the supermarket it's easy to become quite distant to our food sources. Where does our food come from they come from, how is it grown. Is it GMO? Is it grown in sustainable way? What would happen if it suddenly disappeared from the supermarket shelves? Would we be able to nurture ourselves and grow our own food? Do we even remember how to grow food from seeds? Have we forgotten that seeds are the building blocks of life, and the source of what sustains us? I think it's time to remember that seeds, the source of the food that sustains us is not to be owned by a few for the sake of profits for a few. Through seed saving practices, both on small and large scales, sustainable agricultural systems we can regain that knowledge and no longer be so removed from our food and what nurtures us.
