I'm just gonna take the cliff jumping approach to this and force myself to think of anything I can write until the parachute rips open. As for the start of my musical interest, the first band I can remember hearing (on my brother's discs) is the Beatles. They have had a special place in my heart ever since, and as for them being my favorite band (no matter the era), well . . . that's a given. Hmm, as for the rest of the music out there to pick and choose from, I try and get my hands on all of it. Obviously this presents an acute impossibility, but I do my best and try not to pigeon-hole myself into any particular genre or period of this mind-altering drug we all know as music. I'm sure Crystal Meth as a substance has its kicks, but the band gives me all the high I need with the astounding intensity of their synthesized sound. I think that's an important point to make - our bodies are factories for one of the most lethal and intense drugs known to man, adrenaline. When music can effect that rush in your system, there's no better way to go. And, off of that soap box . . . listening to (and playing) music is one of the deepest loves I hold. Though people may argue (for the sake of arguing) that music can not return the love I show it, I full heartedly disagree. Music can be the ears that hear your pain, can be the voice that shouts your happiness, can be your security blanket, or it can act as a much needed helping hand. Certainly it can serve in all the opposite respects, but that's within your mind to chose. So there's a small idea of the power of music. Otherwise, I'll let it speak for itself.
